Become a Labor Leader…
Did you know that City College is one of only a handful of
institutions statewide to offer a Labor Studies program? This
program offers a unique and comprehensive curriculum that
prepares students to be effective employee advocates by
introducing them to legal rights in the workplace, worker’s
compensation, collective bargaining strategies, shop steward
responsibilities, union leadership skills, as well as the
evolution of the American worker and contemporary issues related
to outsourcing, globalization, border issues, and much more.
All courses are taught by leaders in San Diego’s labor
community and are endorsed by the San Diego Labor Council.
