Mission
- City College’s Environmental Stewardship Committee is dedicated to
developing and participating in programs that benefit the
environment
through education, resource management, conservation, and recycling.
City College has taken a first step towards environmental
sustainability by passing a
zero waste resolution, conducting a greenhouse gas emissions
inventory, and
participating in a pilot sustainability assessment with AASHE. Our
goal is for every
student to become educated about sustainability, to work and learn
in a healthy
classroom environment, enjoy sustainable on-campus dining, and have
the opportunity to contribute to a
sustainable society. Every action by every individual counts."
