Where Are They Now??
Several student-athletes who have played softball at San Diego City College under Head Coach LeeAnn Taylor have moved on to 4-year universities.

Last season's Pacific Coast Conference Player of the Year, Erika Rangel, is now at the University of Mobile (Alabama). While at SDCC, Rangel made the All-State Team in 2008 as well as the All-PCC in 2007 and 2008.

After playing the 2008 with the Knights, Veronica Ollier is now the shortstop/center fielder at Lees-McRae College in North Carolina. Ollier is striving to become a veterinarian.

Amanda Wilson has moved on to Cal State San Marcos after playing the 2007 and 2008 seasons at SDCC.

In 2007 Sarah Burns was named PCC Most Valuable Pitcher and was also named to both the All-State and All-PCC Teams. Burns is now at Belhaven College in Jackson, Miss.

Alicia Penner, who played for SDCC in 2006, is now the first baseman at Minot State University in Minot, ND.

LeeAnn Taylor is currently in her fifth season as the Head Softball Coach at San Diego City College and entering her 11th season at the collegiate level.  Taylor led the Knights to a second consecutive post season appearance in 2008 and a 27-16-2 record. In 2007, she led the Knights to their best record in their history (31-10-1, 11-4 PCC) and a share of the Pacific Coast Conference championship. Also in 2007, Taylor was named as PCC Coach of the Year for the second straight year.

Prior to City, she was an assistant coach at Cal State Northridge in 2003 & 2004 where she helped lead CSUN to consecutive NCAA regional play-off appearances.  LeeAnn was the Assistant Softball Coach at Point Loma Nazarene University from 1998-2002 and was honored to be a part of the 2002 NAIA National Coaching Staff of the Year.  During those five years, PLNU qualified for consecutive post-season play and made two trips to the College World Series, finishing runner-up in 2002.

LeeAnn is a native San Diegan. She attended San Diego Mesa College and was named an All-State Second Baseman her freshmen year.  She earned a full scholarship to Cal State Northridge and as a junior her team finished National Runner-Up.

LeeAnn earned a BA in Child Development from CSUN in 1995 and is currently working toward her Master of Science degree in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University.
